ASWEC is a joint conference of Engineers Australia and the Australian Computer Society reporting through the Engineers Australia/ACS Joint Board on Software Engineering.
Venue

 Often referred to as the leading Technology Park in Australia, in a Corporate Location survey, it ranked the Park #9 in the world. Next to the Curtin University, the Technology Park is sit on a beautiful parkland and at the corner of Kent Street and Hayman Road which opposite Curtin University on the Hayman. It has completed telecommunication capacity and capability to provide a range of telecommunications, wireless and satellite services. It has a selection of seminar rooms whereby rooms can be configured up to 300 people.

In the next few years Tech Park will see an ambitious expansion, with the Park growing into a Technology Precinct known as "WA ICT Centre" covering 300 hectares, partnering with a diverse range of neighboring organizations adding value to the innovative cluster, such as park management, industry; R&D; education institutions, government and the community, providing employment and careers for some 12,000 people

Western Australia's Technology Park Bentley has led to the establishment of regional innovation centres across the State, and the setting up of a sister technology park focusing on technology based marine, defence, oil and gas activities at Henderson, south of Fremantle.

Curtin University operates fibre-optic infrastructure to connect its various business units that are located throughout the Park. The University has recently located its Key Research Centres Institute and New Schools, such as Exploration Geophysics; Petroleum Engineering; Centre of Excellence for Exploration and Production Geophysics; Western Australian Petroleum Research Centre; and Centre of Excellence in Petroleum Geology and University Tier 1 Centre of Excellence DEBI Institute (Digital Ecosystems and Business Intelligent Institute) etc.
