Cruising on the Swan River

Take a leisurely afternoon trip along the Swan River towards Fremantle past the old Swan Brewery, watch for occasional dolphin that can be seen in the river and keep your eyes open for the Western Australian black swans, the namesake of the river, that have recently returned to the waterways. Enjoy the relaxing air conditioned boat. A cash bar is available on board. |

Explore WA’s Famous Ningaloo Reef |

This tour starts with a flight from Perth Airport on Saturday 29th March at 6:15 am and arriving at the Learmonth Airport (Exmouth) at 9:35 am. The bus will then take you to the town of Exmouth. You will have the remainder of the day to swim, snorkel, scuba dive, canoe or fish to your hearts content. This is coral spawning season so should offer some excellent reef exploration. Ask your guide for some advice on leisure options. Accommodation is 3-star with communal |

kitchens to prepare your own meals or you can enjoy one of the several cafes and restaurants near by. Wake refreshed and consider taking a bus tour to the gorges at Yardies Creek to follow some hiking trails and view the amazing multi-coloured rock faces. Enquire about Turquoise Bay where you can snorkel easily along Ningaloo Reef flowing with the current for about 1km. You may see turtles, numerous bird species and myriad fish and, if you are lucky, a reef shark or a whale shark both of which are only a month away from being in peak season. Other activities may include golf, quad biking or scooter riding, hiring a sail cat or enjoying the colourful sunset and sunrise from the lighthouse. The plane departs from Exmouth at 3:15 pm on Monday 31st March returning you to the Perth Airport. Inclusions are:

Post-Conference Tour 2 - Saturday 29th to Monday 31st March 2008
Beer, Wine and Cultural Tour (Margaret River) |

This tour starts on Saturday 29th March around 9:00 am in an air-conditioned coach departing from a few city hotels and Curtin University going to Margaret River taking about 4 hours. Once checked into your hotel in Margaret River, the afternoon is yours to explore the town with its many arts and craft stores or you can go to the beach for a few hours. There are many options available to you for dinner in the town of Margaret River. Wake on Sunday with a coach trip to the impressive caves with their vast chambers and then visit a couple of vineyards all before lunch.

The coach then takes you to the town of Cowaramup to enjoy its local produce including the brewery. Then one more vineyard before making it back to Margaret River for the evening. On Monday 31st March, after checking out of the hotel, the coach will take you to Yallingup for lunch and then to the Wardan Aboriginal Cultural Centre where you can explore the history of the region, bush medicine and other cultural activities. From there, the coach takes you back to Perth. Inclusions are: |

Day trip to the Pinnacles |

The coach will take you about 270km North of Perth to enjoy a quality BBQ in the town of Cervantes. From there, you will be driven to the Nambung National Park to the world renowned, mystical Pinnacles Desert where limestone pillars rise from the ground and reach up to 4m high. The raw material for the limestone of the Pinnacles came from seashells in an earlier epoch rich in marine life. This unusual

landscape covers about 404 hectares. After viewing this fascinating desert landscape you will have the opportunity for a swim or stroll along the beach at Hangover Bay before heading back to the city. Inclusions are: |
